During the fiscal year ended June 30, 2021, residence hall occupancy was greatly reduced due to los angeles county mandate of student closure due to covid-19 virus. The occupancy was reduced to approximately 30 undergraduate students.

Part 1: mount saint mary's university, is a california nonprofit public benefits corporation founded by the sisters of st. Joseph of carondelet (provincialate), a religious community of the roman Catholic church. The university was founded in 1925 by sisters of st. Joseph and has operated continuously since that date. The objective of mount saint mary's university as a nonprofit educational institution is service. The university has devoted itself to excellence in liberal arts and sciences and grants degrees in associate, baccalaureate, masters and doctor programs, with a special focus on the education of women for leadership positions in our society. - Part 3: mount saint mary's university offers a dynamic learning experience in the liberal arts and sciences to a diverse student body.
