Entrepreneurship: in January, February, and March, girl scouts tapped their resiliency skills and upped their creativity as they ran their cookie businesses in an environment that had proven challenging even for longtime successful business models run by adults. Girl scouts in colorado hosted virtual cookie booths, built cookie booth safe shields (one girl scout even created a girl scout cookie vending machine at which she stood to sell cookies!), Set up drive-thru cookie booths, leveraged the digital order card and developed porch pixie drop-offs. Although cookie sales were not as robust as non-pandemic years, colorado sold an amazing nearly 4 million packages and was the top sale in the nation.
