The gracies- awmf honors programming that is created for women, by women and about women, as well as individuals who have made exemplary contributions to the industry. The gracies encourage and honor the realistic and faceted portrayal of women in entertainment, news, features and other programs. The gracies gala brings together industry luminaries, broadcsting and cable professionals, and journalism students who gather to celebrate the outstanding achievements of their colleagues and peers. Winners in national categories are honored at an evening event, while local, student and digital and public broadcasting winners are honored at a luncheon that is held at a later date after the evening event.
