Mission

Part 1: moore college of art & design, located in philadelphia, PA, is dedicated to excellence in art and design. Founded in 1848 to expand women's access to higher education, moore is the first and only historically all-women's undergraduate college for art and design, and now offers admission to talented women, nonbinary and gender-nonconforming undergraduate students as well as all-gender graduate and post-baccalaureate programs. Continuing education programs provide opportunities for students of various ages to learn skills for personal enrichment and professional growth. Through these programs, the college prepares artists and designers to build creative, enterprising careers of significant impact and to distinguish themselves as leaders in their fields.
